Home Health Aide
Introduction:
This program offers a course that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers. It can provide supplemental training for people new, previously or currently in the field. The content includes, but is not limited to, instruction in those supportive services that are required to provide and maintain bodily and emotional comfort and to assist the patient toward independent living in a safe environment.
Home health care assistants primarily provide personal care, which includes assistance in feeding, bathing, walking, and dressing, as well as activities related to independent living, such as shopping, food preparation and going to the laundry.
